Back to school, Clothing and Toy Drives
Solair is deeply committed to community involvement. Over the years we have done many donation drives for TEEG, a remarkable local social services agency serving families in northeast Connecticut.
This year Solair plans a Back to School donation drive in July, AANR’s Nudists give Clothing in September , Winter Coats in November and a Holiday Toy Drive early December.
Since so many spend the Fall season in warmer climates we hope you will consider starting your shopping early. Conveniently located upstairs in the community center, our donation box can be found in the hallway leading to the restroom. Once you’ve done your bit for the community, take a moment to unwind in our hot tub. For those with tight schedules, we welcome cash donations. Simply reach out to the office, and Deb (Brian) or her team will happily shop on your behalf.
July School Supply Drive
During July will seek donations of school supplies. TEEG offers back to school supplies to area families. Their Back to School program is client choice, and empowers students to choose items to meet their needs. Items needed include : Backpacks, Pens/Pencils, Scissors, Rulers, Erasers, Notebooks, Folders, Binders, Paper, Glue, and Highlighters .
September AANR / TEEG Nudists Give Clothing
We love shedding clothes, now let’s celebrate the last wisps of summer by helping our community!
We’ve taken up AANR’s nationwide clothing drive, and TEEG has agreed to accept our donations. Please drop your gently used (or new) clothing items into the donation box in the Community Center entryway before September 30, 2024!
November: Warm the World Coat Drive Solair is setting the bar high this year with an ambitious goal of donating 100’s of coats. To make this dream a reality, we urge every member, associate, and even our well-meaning visitors to think about contributing a new coat, or even several.
December: Holiday Toy Drive
Spread some holiday cheer by donating new, unwrapped toys.
